BigR Racing Signs Jared Lowe for 2024 Progressive AFT Season

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (January 25, 2024) – BigR Racing is excited to announce it has signed up-and-coming talent Jared Lowe to contest the Parts Unlimited AFT Singles presented by KICKER championship aboard a Honda CRF450R during the 2024 Progressive American Track season.

Lowe enters his fourth professional season coming off his most impressive campaign yet and expects to continue the upward trend in ‘24. Last season, “the Jet” signaled his arrival as a serious contender in the extraordinary competitive class, notching up a host of personal bests, including his total number of top-ten finishes (five), championship points (80), top Main Event finish (seventh), and top qualifying performance (fourth).

Lowe’s rise mirrors that of BigR Racing. The Kansas-based outfit burst onto the scene as a top-ten entity in 2022 and then increased its top-ten haul, up from three to four, in 2023. Along with the signing of Jared as the team’s lead pilot for the upcoming season, BigR Racing has also recruited Sam Lowe to serve as the squad’s Crew Chief.

BigR Team Owner Ron Belt said, “The entire Lowe racing family brings good things to the series. And after watching Jared and Sam work together in 2023, I knew they would be a great fit with the team.”

Lowe said, “I’m excited to be a part of BigR Racing this year. I’ve got some seat time on the bikes, and I already feel very comfortable. I’m ready to compete.”

BigR Racing and the team is supported by several of the sport’s leading sponsors. Mike Vinson of Vinson Construction, Mission Foods, Roof Systems of Dallas, Al Lamb’s Dallas Honda, Scott Scherb of Scherb Racing, Ryan Sangals of SPC Racing, Motion Pro, L&R Racing, VP Racing Fuel, and LBP, along with many others.

Fan favorite JD Beach announced today that he has signed a deal to ride a Tytlers Cycle Racing BMW M 1000 RR in the 2024 MotoAmerica Superbike Championship. Beach made the announcement via a video he recorded and which was posted first to MotoAmerica’s YouTube channel.

Watch the video below.

Beach will be paired with five-time MotoAmerica Superbike Champion Cameron Beaubier, who is in the middle of a two-year contract with Tytlers Cycle Racing.

Beach has spent the last five seasons racing for the Yamaha-supported Estenson Racing team in the American Flat Track (AFT) SuperTwins Championship. There, he scored multiple race wins and was a perennial front-runner.

Prior to this, Beach was a highly successful road racer, winning the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup Championship (2008), AMA Supersport East Championship (2010), MotoAmerica Supersport Championship (2015 and 2018), as well as two MotoAmerica Superbike races.

Beach’s most recent Superbike win came at New Jersey Motorsports Park at the end of the 2023 MotoAmerica season, when he rode a Fresh N Lean Progressive Yamaha in place of injured Cameron Petersen.

Tickets on Sale Now for Inaugural Silver Dollar Short Track

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (January 18, 2024) – Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural Silver Dollar Short Track, Round 5 of the 2024 Progressive American Flat Track season, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing.

The world’s elite dirt track motorcycle racers will make their first-ever appearance at the historic Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California, on Saturday, May 4. The high-banked, 1/4-mile clay oval is no stranger to big names and big-time events, however. In fact, the six-decade old venue made such an impression on auto racing superstars Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet in their formative years, that the Northern California natives joined forces to become the track’s co-promoters in 2021. The duo, along with business partner Colby Copeland (together SLC Promotions), will also serve as co-promoters of the series’ maiden race alongside Progressive American Flat Track.

The Progressive AFT round is destined to stand tall alongside the track’s history with the Grand National Championship arriving in full swing. The stop at Silver Dollar Speedway will mark the fourth close-quarters Short Track showdown in the season’s opening five races, virtually guaranteeing an intense night of racing as Mission SuperTwins aces Jared Mees, Dallas Daniels, Briar Bauman, Davis Fisher, Brandon Robinson, and the remainder of the stacked premier-class field due battle in tight confines.

It’ll be a similar story – albeit with arguably even more potential winners – in the Parts Unlimited AFT Singles presented by KICKER class. Reigning champion Kody Kopp will look to repeat his early-season ST heroics of a year ago, but the likes of Tom Drane, Chase Saathoff, and Trent Lowe will do everything in their power to prevent three-peat on Kopp’s part.

There will be plenty to keep fans entertained off the track as well, including numerous vendors, a wide selection of food & beverage options, music via DJ, and designated motorcycle parking.

“SLC promotions is extremely excited to add AFT Motorcycles to our schedule,” said Brad Sweet, Partner at SLC Promotions. “It will be great to experience a completely new fan base and showcase Silver Dollar Speedway on such a huge stage.”

General Admission Grandstand tickets are just $30 (kids 12 and under free), while Reserved Grandstand tickets are $40 (all ages), Trackside Box tickets are $60 (all ages), and Pit Grandstand tickets offer premium viewing experiences for $70 (all ages).

Visit https://www.tixr.com/groups/americanflattrack/events/silver-dollar-short-track-89147 to reserve your seats today.

Progressive AFT series merchandise is available via the official merchandise store at https://aftmerch.com/.

Honda Offers Most Red Rider Rewards Ever for 2024 MotoAmerica Racing

Industry’s most generous MotoAmerica package in Superbike, Stock 1000

Over $1 million available for Red Rider road racers in 2024

American Honda announced today that it will offer the powersports industry’s most generous Red Rider Rewards payouts for MotoAmerica’s Superbike and Stock 1000 classes for 2024. The new season of the AMA’s professional road racing national championship will see Red Riders competing for an available total of over $1 million across the series’ top categories, with additional payouts going to the Mini Cup series. This is Honda’s richest racing-contingency offering ever for MotoAmerica—well over twice as high as the 2023 season!

At each round, the program offers payments to Red Riders in the top 10 finishing positions in MotoAmerica’s top two classes, including a whopping $25,000 for a Superbike win and $10,000 for a Stock 1000 victory. That said, Red Rider Rewards don’t just benefit racers who battle at the front of the pack, as a 10th place result pays out $2,000 and $1,000, respectively.

“It’s been exciting to see MotoAmerica continue to improve their program, and the series is really hitting its stride,” said Brandon Wilson, Manager of Racing & Experiential Marketing at American Honda. “Road racing plays an important role in Honda’s heritage, including a rich record of success in AMA-sanctioned competition. That being the case, we’re excited to significantly increase our offerings for Superbike and Stock 1000 racers of our CBR sport bikes. In addition, we’re pleased to support tomorrow’s stars with our offerings in the Mini Cup series. We’re confident that Red Riders will enjoy their best MotoAmerica season ever in 2024, and we look forward to rewarding them for their efforts.”

Of course, Honda’s Red Rider Rewards program also continues to offer generous payouts in other disciplines this year, including motocross, Supercross, SuperMotocross, off-road, and ATV and side-by-side competition.

G&G Racing and Kolby Carlile Back for 2024 Mission SuperTwins Campaign

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA (January 15, 2024) – G&G Racing/Yamaha Racing announced today that Kolby Carlile will return to the team for the 2024 Progressive American Flat Track season to again compete in the Mission SuperTwins class.

Now entering its ninth year in partnership with Yamaha Racing, G&G Racing has enjoyed a run of success that has seen the team garner 19 victories, 40 podiums, 51 top-fives, and 79 top-10s across classes throughout that collaboration. With Carlile at the controls of the team’s Yamaha MT-07 racebikes, the squad enters the ‘24 campaign from a position of strength.

The 2017 Parts Unlimited AFT Singles presented by KICKER champion and a multi-time Mission Production Twins race winner, Carlile registered an impressive maiden season with G&G Racing/Yamaha Racing a year ago. He notched up eight top-10s – including seven in a row – enroute to a 10th-place championship standing. In the midst of that run of top-10s, Carlisle scored a career-best premier-class finish of fourth at the Sacramento Mile, where he also earned a front-row starting position and qualified for the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge.

Kolby Carlile – G&G Racing/Yamaha Racing

“I’m ecstatic to have the opportunity to ride for G&G Racing one more year at the highest level. LJ and John have provided me with great Yamahas every time we went to the track, and having a full year under my belt has allowed us to build a notebook of setups for me. Getting to know those guys all last year has grown a great friendship and trust in one another. Going into 2024, I feel as confident as ever and have made some adjustments off track to help my performance on track. I’ll look to build upon what we were able to accomplish last year. I really want to get that top-three finish we were so close to last season, and I feel I am more prepared for that coming into 2024.”

Jim Roach – Yamaha Racing Department Manager

“Yamaha Racing is looking forward to the return of G&G Racing to the Mission SuperTwins class for their ninth year. After taking a year to get acclimated with Kolby, 2024 is looking good!”

L.J. Gronek – Team Owner

“We are excited for Kolby to return for 2024. Kolby showed speed and demonstrated the ability to be up front. With a year on the bikes, notes, and the hard work he has put in the off season, we believe he can continue to push to show that he can be a contender. Also, we are thrilled to continue our partnership with Yamaha Racing. We could not have accomplished all we have without their help. The Yamaha MT-07 is a very capable platform with great power and delivery.”

G&G Racing would like to thank its sponsors who help make this happen: Yamaha Racing, Yamaha Motor Corporation, Yamalube, JMR, Twisted Development, Graves Sports, AIM, Fontana Radiators, Metalartopia, Motion Pro, and Rosa Plates.

About G&G Racing

G&G Racing is a two-time Mission Production Twins Championship team. A father and son who have built their own Yamaha MT-07s for the AFT SuperTwins and sponsor riders, amateur to pro, in flat track. All work is done in house from their garage.

GOMR Signs Rookie of the Year Declan Bender for Mission SuperTwins Duty

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (January 9, 2024) – GOMR (Grumpy Old Men Racing) is pleased to announce the signing of reigning Progressive American Flat Track Rookie of the Year Declan Bender to compete in the 2024 Mission SuperTwins championship aboard an Indian FTR750.

Bender turned pro in 2023 on the heels of a stellar amateur career that saw him earn 10 AMA Flat Track Grand Championships and more than 60 race victories among a host of other achievements. He then proved himself a frontrunner from the very start of his maiden Parts Unlimited AFT Singles presented by KICKER season, qualifying seventh at the ‘23 Daytona opener.

Bender continued to improve as he gained experience throughout the season. The Cooksville, Illinois, native ended the year in outstanding form, securing a sixth and two sevenths over the season’s final four Main Events, which propelled him to Rookie of the Year honors.

GOMR will once again enjoy significant support from BriggsAuto.com as the team’s biggest sponsor with additional backing from Martin Trucking and Precision Body Works. Johnny and Sarah Goad will continue to helm the GOMR operation with Johnny serving as Crew Chief and Sarah in the role of Team Manager. Tom Draina and Buddy Pulliam are back to assist in turning the wrenches, while Miriam Pulliam and Dick Tibbits will provide additional support.

Sarah Goad said, “Family has always been an important aspect of our racing program and that tradition continues with our children and grandchildren (Caylee, Raylynn, Raye and Clara) present to lend a hand or just root us on. I also think this makes Declan a great fit, as he and his father, Mike, have accomplished so much working as a rider/dad team throughout Declan’s career. Declan is an exciting young rider. He has a huge future in the sport, and we believe he’ll be a contender for Mission SuperTwins Rookie of the Year honors in 2024.

“I also want to thank Russ and Ilene Briggs of BriggsAuto.com, CD Martin of Martin Trucking, and Buddy and Miriam Pulliam of Precision Body Works. It’s only through their support that we are able to continue competing in this sport we love.”

Bender said, “I am beyond excited for the opportunity that Russ Briggs and the Goads have given me this year. Their deep roots and knowledge in the sport are all I could ask for and more. I am ready to give it everything I’ve got this season and look forward to building on the success that I ended with in ‘23.”

NATIONAL FLATTRACK GROUP SET TO LAUNCH THE LARGEST FLATTRACK SERIES IN THE UNITED STATES.

Oklahoma City, OK – Xtreem Flattrack (XFT) excitingly announces the official rebranding, restructuring and launch of the all-new National Flat Track (NFT) series. The launching of this new series was designed to put focus back on the roots of our great sport consisting of several State, Regional and National Championship opportunities through our effective partnerships. The racing calendar consists of 45 events across the United States including Halfmile, Shorttrack and TT tracks. The Series will end with a true 3-day National Championship Finale.

“I am so excited for this new era of flat track and am thankful for the partners on board that reflect the same vision for the sport, “said Jake Latimer, CEO of the National Flattrack Series and National Flattrack Group. “Although the Pro AFT racers are the cream of the crop, you cannot deny that there are some great amateur, vintage and expert racers across the Country, and we know that every pro must come from somewhere.”

The NFT Group has developed a program in cooperation with several partners with a focus on these “kids” and young adults and their stories. Through video, website, email, social media and other avenues the NFT in-house media group will allow the public to follow along on their journey through the classes as they chase the road to the AFT Pro ranks. Witness firsthand the challenges and rewards that follow.  As this program gains momentum some of the immediate goals and visions is to include a learn to race program that works with troubled or underprivileged youth to instill and teach the values of a what it takes to not only be a great motorcycle racer, but also great human being as they transition through life. A year end expert points fund for modern, and vintage expert class is in the works as well as the opportunity for AM classes to win brand new motorcycles, parts packages and even have the chance to ride for a top Pro AFT team as part of their championship.

“It was very important when developing this new series that the sanctioning and agreements were all multi year deals extending 5 years and beyond.” Jake continues “We wanted to make sure our Riders, Partners and Sponsors recognized the commitment we are bringing to the sport, We believe the future of flattrack looks great and can’t wait to get started.”

2024 will also see some different entertainment aspects added to the national program at select events including FMX jump shows, Demolition Derbies, Trials exhibitions, Stunt shows, Monster Trucks, Concerts, Bike shows and more. NFT plans to expand the series to virtually every state in the U.S by 2025 and are solidifying plans for a Global launch by 2026.

A1R Racing Aims High with RoosEvans on Yamahas for 2024

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (January 4, 2024) – A1R Racing is thrilled to announce an augmented program for the upcoming Progressive American Flat Track season featuring Aidan RoosEvans aboard Yamaha YZ450Fs in the Parts Unlimited AFT Singles presented by KICKER class.

2024 marks an exciting opportunity for the team as it is set to grow significantly with support from Yamaha. The squad will carry a full complement of crew, including four mechanics and former racer and professional bodybuilder Joe RoosEvans on board as coach.

The additional support lays a strong foundation, which should allow Aidan to fully capitalize on his potential and establish himself a contender at the front of the highly competitive category.

A racer since the age of four, RoosEvans was a 14-time motorcycle dirt track amateur national champion before shifting his focus to auto racing, where he was named Warrior Region ASCR Rookie of the Year in 2018. Since returning to two wheels, the O’Fallon, Illinois, native has repeatedly proven himself against the best 450cc riders in the world, securing 13 top tens since 2020 while finishing ninth in the ‘22 championship standings. RoosEvans enjoyed the best Main Event result of his burgeoning Progressive AFT career a year ago, finishing in the top five at the Orange County Half-Mile.

Team Manager Derek Arnett said, “Our success in the upcoming season is not only reliant on skill and talent, but also a huge effort as a team dedicated to one goal. We’ve put in a ton of hard work testing and tuning, and we are totally confident in what we’ve accomplished over the offseason. We’re race ready now and excited to see the fruits of our labor.”

RoosEvans said, “I couldn’t be more excited to start the season. With backing from Yamaha and all of our other great partners, I feel like this can be my best year yet. Honestly, I struggled at times getting a rhythm in recent years, but when I hopped back on the Yamaha, I felt right back at home. It was like a homecoming when we tried one last fall, and I was instantly hooked on the idea of coming back to Yamaha. Everything fell into place, and I’m really excited about having Yamaha be a part of our team in 2024.”

Turner Racing Honda Targets Parts Unlimited AFT Singles Glory with Lowe and Renshaw

CUMMING, Ga. (December 27, 2023) – Turner Racing Honda is proud to announce its line-up for the 2024 Progressive American Flat Track season which teams veteran racer Trent Lowe alongside promising rookie Evan Renshaw aboard American Honda CRF450Rs in the Parts Unlimited AFT Singles presented by KICKER class.

Now entering his sixth professional season, Lowe blossomed in his debut year with Turner Racing Honda in ‘23. The Indiana native scored his maiden victory and then backed it up with another in a campaign that saw him reel in five podiums among nine top-five finishes in all. Lowe returns with his sights set even higher as he attempts to build upon last year’s success and establish himself a genuine title threat.

He’ll be joined by rising star Renshaw, who Lowe has trained with in recent years, both under the tutelage of multi-time Progressive AFT champion Cory Texter. Renshaw steps up to the pro ranks following a decorated amateur career that featured multiple national titles and culminated with the prestigious Nicky Hayden AMA Flat Track Horizon Award. Renshaw earned his factory ride not just as a result of his undeniable talent but also due his strong work ethic and desire to excel.

Team Owner Mike Turner:

“For 2024, I really wanted to concentrate on a two-rider effort and slim down the team a bit to give us the best shot at winning. The chemistry Trent and Evan have built training with Cory is something that will prove a real asset to the team. I’m excited to have Trent return and look forward to seeing how much more he will grow as a racer. And I really like to give new talent a shot, and after watching Evan the past couple of years, signing him was an easy choice for me.

“I want to thank Chase Saathoff and Morgen Mischler along with Bryan Bigelow and Kenny Coolbeth for their contributions to the team the  last couple years, and I wish them all the best in their future endeavors.

“I must also take the time to thank American Honda for another year and letting us represent such a great band as well as our title sponsor, Mission Foods, for all they do for our team. We’re also bringing back a host of other fantastic partners, including Castrol as the team’s official oil, United Rentals, Helmet House, Shoei Helmets, Cortech Leathers, Sidi Boots, and RP Race Exhaust.

“I am really excited for the effort we have put together alongside our partners for the 2024 season. I think it’s going to be an exciting year.”

Turner Racing Honda presented by Mission Foods will be support by: Castrol, United Rentals, Helmet House, Cortech Leathers, Sidi Boots, Shoei Helmets, 100%, Fasthouse, GUTS Racing Seats, RP Race Exhaust, R-Nyne Designs, Motion Pro, Dallas Honda, New South Construction Supply, Team Masonry, Roof Systems, Finish Line Home Services, and Cory Texter Racing.

JPG Motorsports to Field Chase Saathoff in Hunt for Parts Unlimited AFT Singles Crown

OMER, Mich. (December 21, 2023) – JPG Motorsports is excited to announce its all-new Parts Unlimited AFT Singles presented by KICKER effort managed by Bryan Bigelow and featuring Chase Saathoff aboard Honda CRF450Rs for the 2024 Progressive American Flat Track season.

Despite having only recently turned 18, Saathoff has already established himself as one of the most promising talents to hit the Progressive AFT scene in recent seasons. The Illinois native has racked up numerous accolades in his young career, including being named the 2021 Nicky Hayden AMA Horizon Award winner and 2022 Progressive AFT Rookie of the Year.

Saathoff continued his rapid ascent in 2023, scoring nine podiums, including six runner-up finishes, en route to a fourth-place finish in the Parts Unlimited AFT Singles championship standings. He’s well positioned to take the next step in ‘24 with race wins and title contention firmly in his sights.

Saathoff will continue his close association with Bigelow, who will serve as the new squad’s Team Manager after overseeing the young ace’s progress ever since he turned pro. A former premier-class racer himself, Bigelow is one of the most experienced and successful crew chiefs and team managers in the sport.

JPG Motorsports is backed by title sponsor JPG Trucking, which originated as a small family-owned business in 2011. Its owner, Luke Guoan, has since grown the business into a successful fleet of twenty trucks dedicated to hauling raw lumber for local mills and pallet shops within Lower Michigan.

Guoan has been involved in racing since a young age, and, in particular, shares a common passion for ice racing on the frozen lakes of Michigan with Bigelow. Racing is a family affair for JPG Motorsports with Guoan’s children Jerod, Parker, and Graycin active ice racers themselves.

Team Manager Bryan Bigelow:

“2024 will be different as 100% of the focus will be on Chase. I think he’s proven that he is ready to win, and the maturity he has gained is what we at JPG Motorsports are most excited about. Over the last couple of months, we have created this team which is supported by many great partners who all share the same vision – giving Chase all the tools needed to showcase exactly what he is capable of. Long-time friends Dan Caulkins (DPC), Jim Farr (Iowa City Brake), and Dan Hodder (DHR) were all eager to jump on board as they too are excited to help elevate Chase’s career. With these tools and the guidance on race day reigning Mission SuperTwins champion Jared Mees, JPG Motorsports can’t wait for Round 1 in Daytona!”

Chase Saathoff #88:

“My expectations are high going into next season, but most of all I’m hoping to have a lot of fun. I’ve spent the last year with Bryan as my crew chief, and we really work well together. Words can’t express how thankful I am for him, Luke, and all of our partners. Bring on 2024!”

2024 JPG Motorsports Partners:

DPC Racing, Dan Hodder, Iowa City Brake, Central Motorsports, American Honda, Tri-R Distributing, Kold Kutter, MYMEDHISTORY.com, TB Suspension, PEP Performance, AIM Sports, RVO Fabrication, Turner Racing, Suter Clutch, RP Race, R-Nyne Graphics, Pro X, Race Winning Brands, Helmet House USA, Cortech, SIDI, 100%, Regina, Renthal, Spectro Oils and Hoosier Tires
